Bowen Rail Company- Abbot Point Maintenance and Provisioning Yard

Bowen Rail Company required a provisioning yard for the Carmichael Rail Network. Contract comprised of clearing a 5km section of land parallel to Abbot Pt Rd and the Newlands rail line and installing the formation for under the rail, the pad for the site office, installation of signalling conduct and the paved access road. Included in this package were 9 RCBC structures totalling 953 individual precast units, 13 CMP structures totalling ~2km of pipe, 197,000m3 of earthworks requiring 447,446t of quarry materials. Over the life of the project Hillery Group managed the coordination of 66 internal and 297 subcontract workers over the life of the project.
